If you want to get serious with your photography, now is a really good time to pick up a professional film camera. Everyone seems to be dumping theirs in favor of digital. Contrary to popular belief, film is going to be around for a quite a while, and still seems to be the preferred medium for B&W photography, given the wide selection of high quality B&W films available and the difficulty with reproducing the same shots using digital.
I took a look on eBay and the F5, for example, which was Nikon's top-of-the-line professional film camera for years until the F6 came out recently, was selling for $300-500 in very good or mint condition, a camera which sold for almost $2,000 new about a year ago. This is an outstanding camera and will give you many, many years of service.
